Scifest Africa 2015 will be held in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape from 18-24 March 2015, and will celebrate the International Year of Light

The theme will explore numerous sub-themes including, but not limited to, anatomy, architecture, arts and culture, astronomy, atmospheric sciences, aviation, biotechnology, chemistry, diet, energy, fibre optics, gravity, lasers, matter, microscopy, nanotechnology, optics, photonics, space sciences, the spectrum, and the universe.
